The Caribbean Island with less than 21 inches of rain annually. No Hurricanes.Aruba.

Unlike much of the Caribbean region, Aruba has a dry climate and an arid, cactus-strewn landscape. This climate has helped tourism as visitors to the island can reliably expect warm, sunny weather. It has a land area of 179 square kilometres (69.1 sq mi) and is densely populated with a total of 101,484 inhabitants at the 2010 Census.

Aruba's first inhabitants are thought to have been Caquetíos Amerinds from the Arawak tribe, who migrated there from Venezuela to escape attacks by the Caribs. Fragments of the earliest known Indian settlements date back to 1000 AD. Sea currents made canoe travel to other Caribbean islands difficult, thus Caquetio culture remained closer to that of mainland South America.
The capital Oranjestad, The island is nearly26 miles long and about 6 miles wide.

Aruba lies outside  (South) of the 'Hurricane Belt.'

Europeans first learned of Aruba following the explorations of Amerigo Vespucci and Alonso de Ojeda in the summer of 1499. Though Vespucci boasted of discovering the island, he and Ojeda were likely guided there by natives of nearby islands. Both described Aruba as an "island of giants",  comparing the large stature of the native Caquetíos compared to Europeans.

Aruba is part of the Netherland Antilles located 19 miles northeast of Venezuela. The island is 21 miles long X 6 miles wide-the 'official' language is 'Papiento'..a mixture of Dutch,Spanish and other languages..although the average Aruban is well educated..and most can converse in English, as well as Dutch and Spanish.
Mild tradewinds cool this beautiful very 'dry'..almost desert like destination..and there is a wide array of restaurants, casinos, excursions and exciting activities for all ages. US Passports are required..HOWEVER (this is not known by many)..there is US Customs located at the Airport in Orangestad (the capital)..and once you clear US Customs in Aruba at your departure..you DO NOT have to pass through Customs & Immigration upon your arrival in the United States. The resorts we have listed above are the All Inclusive Destinations..and there are many fabulous 'EP' (European Plan) Hotels such as the Marriott,Bucuti Beach,Hyatt,Renaissance and others that we will be able to tell you about.Aruba & Curacao are south of the "Hurricane Zone!"
